A company may change the address of its registered office by lodging with the Registrar for registration a notice of the change. This change of address takes effect only when it is registered by the Registrar.
The Companies Act, 2015 provides that any person who is entitled to serve a document on the company at the previously registered address must do so within fourteen days after the new address is registered by the Registrar.
The change of address/location of a company is lodged in Form CR 16 the Notice of Change of Location of Company’s Registered Office.
The fees payable at the Registry is Kshs 550.
This application is processed within 1 day and no document issued as it is reflected on company records.
