HOW TO LODGE A NOTICE OF CHANGE OF PARTICULARS OF BUSINESS NAME

Whenever a change is made or occurs in the particulars of a business name, the registered owners of the business name are to within twenty-eight days after such change send by registered post or deliver to the Registrar a notice in writing in the prescribed form specifying the nature and date of the change, signed and where necessary verified, in like manner as a statement of particulars.

The application is to be lodged in Form BN 4, the Notice of Change.

The fee payable is Kshs. 600 on lodging a notice of change. This is to be paid as follows:

  1. Kshs 200 upon submission of an original BN certificate.
  2. Kshs 400 upon submission of a copy of BN certificate subject to penalties where applicable.

The Registrar once satisfied all conditions have been met issues Form BN5 the Certificate of change of particulars three days after the application is made.
