COPYRIGHT IN WORKS OF GOVERNMENT AND INTERNATIONAL BODIES

The copyright in works of government and international bodies refers to works created pursuant to a commission from the government or such international body or non-governmental body as and on which no copyright has been conferred.

This type of copyright subsists until the end of the expiration of fifty years from the end of the year in which it was first published.

It is important to note that copyright in works of government and international bodies vests initially in the government or such international bodies or other governmental organizations as may be prescribed, and not in the author.
